Training Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What is the format of training?
Answer: The training format depends on the type of event for which you register. We offer several types of events, including TaxWise University, Learning Center and webinars. TaxWise University uses an online self-study format. Webinars use telephone and an online demonstration. For additional information on each type of program, see the links to the left.
Question: How can I see if a date or venue is still available?
Answer: Access the Training Registration tool here and search for the event to view open seat availability.
Question: How do I use the Training Registration tool?
Answer:
Purchasing a webinar, workshop or other event online: Visit our online Training Registration tool at events.cchsfs.com. This website
lists all scheduled webinars and workshops with available dates and times. You
can filter the list of events using the check boxes at the top of the screen. To see a
course description or register for a course, click View Details. Once your purchase
is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. If you purchased a webinar, the
e-mail will include instructions for logging in to the webinar. You will also receive a
reminder e-mail two days before the webinar.
Registering for a webinar purchased from a sales consultant: Within one business day of purchase, you will receive an e-mail from learning@cchsfs.com with instructions for registering for the course you purchased.
Click the link in the e-mail and the online registration website will display a list of
available dates and times. Select a date and time, click the Register button in the
description and follow the instructions. You are not registered for a webinar until you
go through this process.
What to do if you have not received an e-mail to register: Send an e-mail to learning@cchsfs.com with the event information and your SFS
Client ID. The registration e-mail will be re-sent.
Question: How can I see the schedule of events?
Answer: Some event types found in the navigation bar to your left may have schedules on or linked from their page. You can also see a schedule of events by accessing the Training Registration tool and searching for the type of event you would like to participate in. You will see a list of all events for the year.
Question: How many CPE credits can I earn per course, and what steps do I need to take to get the credit?
Answer: You can see the number of CPE for each event in the course description listed to or linked from that event's page (accessible from the navigation menu to your left). This information is also listed in the Training Registration tool. You do not need to do anything extra in order to receive your CPE certificate, as long as you follow the NASBA guidelines to receive credit for that event. For example, if you are taking classroom training, you must sign in and out appropriately. Webinars require participation. TaxWise sends CPE certificates shortly after each event. The certificates are e-mailed to you depending on the type of event, so make sure that your e-mail address is up-to-date by contacting customer service.
Question: What do I need to do to prepare for my training?
Answer: In most cases, there is very little that you need to do in order to prepare for training. On each course description within the Training Registration tool, you can find the Advanced Preparation section; this will tell you anything that you need to do to prepare for the class.
